Lana Robinson, MS - School Counseling
ABOUT ME
School counseling wasn't something I considered doing when I was young. But yet, I find myself right where I belong. Originally from Columbus, I served in the U.S. Army after high school. I spent time out of the workforce to care for my young children and was a non-traditional college student. I've worked in the high school setting and for a community college. I joined the East Butler family as the K-12 School Counselor in 2017. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. |

Mission Statement School counselors focus on three domains: Academic Success, Social-Emotional Development, and College & Career Readiness. Services I provide include teaching classroom lessons, individual or small group counseling, goal setting, ensuring students are meeting graduation requirements, scholarships, career exploration, transcripts, etc.
Students in grades K-8 are receiving social-emotional learning (SEL) through Second Step curriculum. Your student may use the phrases, "Stop, name your feeling, and calm down" or "belly breaths", "counting", or "positive self-talk". |
