College visits are essential in helping your student make an educated decision about their next steps in life. East Butler High School is committed to offering group visits during the school year. Juniors and seniors are encouraged to use their two college visit days to schedule individual visits which do not count against attendance. It is never too early to start talking about post-secondary plans with your child and visiting campuses of universities, colleges, and trade schools.
ACT
All Nebraska High School Juniors will take the ACT at their high school in the spring. This exam is free. There are many other dates throughout the year, and students will choose where they want to take it when they register for the test. It is highly recommended that students planning on attending a four-year college take the ACT more than once. Some scholarship opportunities are reliant on ACT scores. ACT.org
Cost of the ACT
There are fees attached to taking the ACT. To sign up for the regular test, without the writing portion, students will be charged $63.00. The price increases to $88.00 if the student wants to include the writing portion.
